Why should we choose SU among the abundance of other summer activities?

   Five senses have been given us thousands of years ago to discover. They were always the elements that made us, they are now, and they will be until the end.
   In this article, the topic is not 5 senses but something we are much familiar, an occasion we call “summer adventure” that is actually related somehow!
   Paulo Coelho says “The danger of an adventure is worth a thousand days of ease and comfort.” Isn’t it how we live within AEGEE? Precisely! Getting out of comfort zone what makes us AEGEEans. And when you feel the spirit, it is not very easy to get rid of “the comfort and cosy” sleeping mattress during the summer. Spending less time sleeping to discover, talk, wonder, have fun… is what summers are made for. When no one knows who you actually are but you know that people come for a common reason that is “living the moment”, isn’t it the easiest way to communicate with each other as stronger? Isn’t it how we have such a strong and huge network in Europe and a place to stay in almost every city? If your answer is “yes”, my friend, then you know what “the danger of adventure” is.

 
   We always say that AEGEE gives us a space for non-formal education. When thinking of education systems of universities we are in or out, it is actually an asset for personal development, social skills and awareness. Travel, meeting many cultures, traditions and food cuisines, witnessing the history, speaking a local language even though you are not good enough, and having democratic or political discussions to take an active role in society are the diversities you may explore during our summer adventures. From a very small game, workshop or activity -such as cooking pasta, parachute jumping or going into a museum- to a serious debate, it is a kind of motto for us to learn by travel and exploration. To choose the suitable topic for you is just in your hands. When it comes to travel, I assume that it is the most admirable matter in AEGEE and our adventures have the key to this matter. From Spain to Russia, from Turkey to Scandinavia, there is always a summer adventure uprising. More than 50 destinations which are also affordable give us the chance to travel where the hearts are willing to go to Europe.
   Now, why should you choose our summer adventure which we briefly call SUs? Because it is not just taking you out of your comfort zone or giving a chance to meet new people, teach and learn, have fun, speak, travel and see many cultures and histories, take part in debates for future of Europe, enhance your horizon, create your own creativity, pull you into an international environment and share. It gives you the opportunity to live them ALL IN ONE.

 
   So, if you are willing to sight, hear, touch, smell and taste, c’mon my friend, take your position; because we are about to take off an adventure.
